Putting Others First

We just finished a character training lesson that taught Deference. Deference is putting the desire of others before your own. We did a little role playing, she colored artwork, memorized the definition and a related Bible verse, and she learned the I Will's for the virtue.

I decided to use her Consider Others tattoo from the company, Armed With Truth. My daughter loves her Bible Verse Temporary Tattoos! They are a fun way to memorize Scripture. This particular tattoo is one from the Christ Like collection. I thought that it paired well with her lesson this week. I asked her to memorize it in addition to her other weekly Bible verse. These tattoos last a couple of days before they need to be scrubbed off. This is the perfect month to do random acts of kindness too. 

The scripture verse states:
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
