I highly recommend having a heart-to-heart informal chat (or fun interview) with your children at the end of the year if you don't already do so.  It can truly open your eyes to new things and can help you learn more about what your children like and dislike. Alyssa enjoyed sharing her thoughts with me and asking me questions as well.

I will link this post up at Through the Calm and Through the Storm Blogging Through the Alphabet Linky. This week the emphasis is on Letter I. Come join the fun!

  1. She is clearly Mommy's little girl! I know that must make your heart swell to hear them say how awesome she thinks you are!

    1. Tim, Yes she is definitely Mommy's little girl! I love her so much. I pray that she'll always think fondly of me. :)

  2. Thanks for sharing all of her answers. My daughter enjoyed Descendants, too. I have to ask -- what's Sausage Biscuit casserole?

    1. Here is the link to the recipe we used. Visit We used ground sausage instead of patties. I also used 19 oz of biscuits, because it was what I had on hand and I didn't want to waste anything. We ate it for several days! But . . . it is just the two of us. It filled a 9x13 pan. Saved me time in the kitchen. let me know what you think. I want to try adding gravy to the recipe as well.

  3. I hope Alyssa will always see you as her hero, how precious is that?

    1. She is very precious and I too hope as she gets older she will keep me on her list of heroes. :)
